is 23km away from Argostoli. It is the gateway to Ithaca and
Patras. Also there are ferries to the north and south of Italy.
Located on the East Coast of Cefalonia next to the subterranean
lake of Melissani and the awe-inspiring caves of Drogarati.
Near-by there is the exquisite village “Karavomilos” and the
so-called lake which is home for dozens of ducks and the
culmination of the geological phenomena where sea water passes
under and across the island from Katavothres near Argostoli
through Melissani Lake and emerges here at Karavomilos as 99%
fresh water.
