EXCURSIONS IN KEFALONIA

The MARINE ODYSSEY - the boat trip with a difference!  Cruise along the beautiful Cefalonian coastline discovering the unique marine life of the Ionian Sea.  The trip includes lunch and refreshments as well as wet suits, snorkeling equipment and binoculars with lots of time to swim and relax in the sun.

The SUN CRUISE - have fun whilst soaking up the sun!  Cruising down the Cefalonian coastline, enjoy a BBQ lunch with wine. Water sport facilities are available but not included.

The SUNSET CRUISE - sit back and relax!  An opportunity to see Cefalonia from the sea and watch the sun go down.  Bar on board.

LOCAL BUS EXCURSIONS   Excursions organized by the local Bus Company, conducted in both Greek and English.  Specialist excursions are available throughout the year in all languages by arrangement.

ISLAND TOUR- KEFALONIA An insight into the islands scenic beauty. We will show the very best Kefalonia has to offer. The island tour includes the famous Katavothres swallow holes before heading north to see the glorious bay of Myrtos. The peninsular of Assos is our coffee stop.  Wander around the harbor with the views of the remains of the Venetian castle.  The scenic fishing village of Fiscardo is in the north and here we stop for lunch.  Many small boutiques line the harbor and we have time for shopping and exploring the village. The afternoon is spent exploring the subterranean lake of Melissani where you view the interior by a small rowing boat, the cave of Drogarati with stalactites and stalagmites, the monastery of Sain Gerasimos and wine tasting at the  Robolla co-operative winery.

ONASSIS DREAM CRUISE We cruise into the three islands and touch on the history of the Onassis family of three generations- Onassis, his daughter Christina and the living heir to the fortune Athina. Embarkation from the port of Sami, cruising north of Fiscardo there are spectacular islands to be visited. Meganisi is the least known island, apparently untouched by the arrival of the millenium and at top of the village of Spartohori there are stunning views of the islands of Skorpios and Madouri. Cruising into the otherwise Private island of Skorpios it is possible to moor the boat for swimming.  We visit Nidri on Lefkas for Lunch and some great shopping.

ITHACA TOUR A tour to capture your imagination and heart. Our coach will take you to Sami where the ferry will transport you to this beautiful island steeped in Greek legend.  Hear the story of Odysseus from Homer’s epic “The Odyssey” as we travel to Vathi the island’s capital, with its Folklore museum and picturesque harbor and architecture.  Kioni a very pretty waterfront village said to be the jewel of Ithaca.  Stavros village, where the bust of Odysseus stands and where you will get the chance to try the famous cake ravani, or visit the local church.

OLYMPIA   Departing from Argostoli at 0745 hrs we travel to this home of the games and all its marvels via Poros.  A journey back in time, which no superlatives can describe - this really is a trip to remember.  We return to Argostoli at approx. 2030 hrs.

ZAKYNTHOS   Another early start, departing from Argostoli at 0715 hrs and driving to the port of Pessada where we take the ferry across to Skinari on Zakynthos.  We travel to the lace making village of Volimes and the capital of Zante town returning to Argostoli at approx. 2100 hrs.
